About

Welcome, I’m Heather

I am a psychiatrist who has specialised in child and adolescent learning disability psychiatry after dual training in both specialities. I have worked part-time at consultant level for 15 years in a multidisciplinary CAMHS LD Team for the NHS in Scotland. Alongside this, I took up a part time NHS CAMHS consultant post in a remote area of Scotland and have worked both posts together for 4 years.

In 2024 I left my CAMHS LD consultant post (FTE 0.6) to seek other work opportunities. I am intending to work privately part time as a child and adolescent psychiatrist and/or child and adolescent intellectual disability psychiatrist. I continue to work as a CAMHS/CAMHS LD consultant psychiatrist in a substantive post (FTE 0.15) for NHS Western Isles.
